The ILYM Campus Spring Workday is coming up on Saturday, May 3, 9:00 a.m. to ~5:00 p.m. There will be a potluck lunch with chili and cornbread provided. There will also be two speakers for after lunch: Jade Rockwell, Program Director for Quaker Connect will talk about that FWCC program, and Tom Rockwell, Associate Superintendent of Western Yearly Meeting will talk about Friends issues more broadly, and the need for partnership across branches.
Tasks to be accomplished include:
- Moving sticks to the brush piles, some tree trimming and cutting up branches, and possibly burning the piles if the weather is conducive.
- Installing window A/C units at Clear Creek House (CCH) 2nd floor bedrooms.
- Finishing the repairs to the ramp at the Meetinghouse.
- Installing wire rods and curtains to divide the six cabins to allow for more privacy.
- And other possible tasks, like trimming shrubs, weeding, clearing brush, cleaning up the CCH patio, moving lumber in the barn, cleaning up the HS bunkhouse, etc.
- Bring tools any possible useful tools to help with these tasks.

Please plan to join in for community camaraderie, a little work to help keep the campus in good shape, some shared food and fellowship, and a lot of fun! If you plan to come, please contact Chris (use contact form) so there is an idea of how much chili to make.
