Maintenance &Planning To Do List (as of 05/23/18)

Meetinghouse:

  • Repair wiggly west porch banister. (Hire out.)
  • Pressure wash the north and west sides for mildew on paint. (Hire out)
  • Install 2 small bulletin boards to post: harassment policy; harassment committee members; safety info; 1 near phone and 1 in the corridor by restrooms. (Buy2 small bulletin boards and screws.) 
  • Prime and paint just the big peeling spots on the exterior west wall outside of the bathroom.
  • Scrape and paint the west wall of the dining room in the basement. (Buy yellow paint.)
  • Scrape and paint peeling spots of the west wall of beige brick in the interior stairwell to the dining room.
  • Repair instant hot water heater in the south bathroom. (Hire out- Grazzer?)
  • Repair broken window panes in the corridor to bathrooms. (Hire out)

Kitchen:

  • Find, buy, install range hood.
  • Repair broken window west wall (behind shelf with pots). (Hire out)

Yard:

  • Check swing set chain and S hooks for safety. Replace all worn parts.
  • Install kiddie fence for safe toddler play area away from swing set and driveway.

Junior Yearly Meetinghouse:

  • Repair animal hole in the south wall. (Hire out)
  • Repair or replace windows. Many broken panes are caused by the worn window frames no longer supporting the glass. Windows don’t open/shut easily or without coming apart. Two windows on the south wall need to be closed at the top. (Hire out)
  • Repair doors that do not latch shut because their weather stripping is too thick.
  • Fire alarm chirps continuously, bring earplugs, new battery. A tall ladder is under the building.
  • Post: laminated copies of harassment policy, harassment committee members, safety info on middle room bulletin board.
  • Trim grass by ramp and stairs.

Penn House:

  • Make it habitable. Penn House has electricity. Fix it as a cabin for those with CPAP machines.
  • Repair window, replace screen, repair holes in paneling on walls.
  • Bring beds or bunks from Chicken House or Jr Yearly Meetinghouse – (but wait till site prep to bring in mattresses).

Cabins:

  • Repair front screen door Cabin E, and back screen doors Cabins Q and R.
  • Stain back screen door of cabin K.

Shower House:

  • Paint wood of roof line.
  • Post laminated copies of harassment policy, harassment committee members, safety info; 1 in men’s side, and 1 in women’s side. 

Chicken House:

  • Screw exterior siding back to entire west wall. Bring cordless drill and lots of screws.
  • Repair 6” hole in north wall.

Clear Creek House:

  • Paint repaired plaster in CCH kitchen.
  • Buy whole house water filters and replace whole house filters on the water treatment/ filtration system. Call Paul Ebener for instructions on how to do this. (Hire out)
  • Get estimate from Grazzer’s to extend the main baffle for CCH furnace ductwork to increase effectiveness of heating and cooling system of CCH 2nd floor. Also ask them to repair the loud boom sound that happens every time furnace kicks off. Sounds like ductwork is not tightly attached to furnace. (Hire Grazzers)
  • Clean patios and remove trellis- east side CCH.
  • Post laminated copies of harassment policy, harassment committee members, safety info: on kitchen bulletin board, 1 upstairs in hallway outside bathroom or in bathroom (or other conspicuous place).

Clear Creek Garage:

  • Remove scrap metal, paint, and discarded large objects.

Barn:

  • Clean out, remove containers, recycle plastic 5 gal buckets – far west barn by silos. Call Marshall Brennan to see if he will haul for us again. This time we should pay him.  He will take scrap metal as well as hazardous wastes and agricultural chemicals.
